Hope Factory
I recently learned about the Hope Factory, run by the Low Income Housing Institute, when I was documenting Inspectify's build event there, where volunteers helped build Tiny Houses. These Tiny Houses provide a safer and more dignified alternative to those in need of shelter. As a former architect I think this is a great program to actively engage community members to reduce homelessness through the act of making and building.
I will also be giving 30% of the proceeds from my shoot there back to the Tiny Houses project. If you're interested in volunteering or donating, please visit: https://lihi.org/tiny-houses/
Side note: I usually bring a step stool to shoots to get angles from up higher, and it was so convenient to go shoot at a location where there were step stools and ladders everywhere 😊.
