2024 Cherry Blossom & Spring Mini Sessions

If you know me, I love to garden and I love all things flower-related, and my favorite season is cherry blossom season. The dates listed below are approximate dates of peak blooms for each location based on past years, but they can change depending on the weather. If you're able to, please keep the whole weekend open for the dates you'd like, and the weekend before and after, in case of rain or in case flowers are not blooming yet. This year I will be traveling in the spring so I'll have fewer cherry blossom dates available.

UW Quad Cherry Blossoms

March 23/24

Time slots available: 7:00am, 7:30am, 8:00am

Yes, this is crazy early, but it's worth it to beat the crowd who flock to see these nearly century-old cherry trees when they're in full bloom. If you're lucky and there's a clear day, you may get a view of Mt. Rainier too.

Washington Park Arboretum Cherry Blossoms

March 23/24

Time slots available: 9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am

If you don't want to get up so early, the Arboretum is a great alternative that is not as crowded as the UW Quad and offers a variety of cherry trees with blossoms of different colors. I'm available for full sessions at the Arboretum on weekdays, or back to back mini sessions if there is enough interest.

Hamilton Viewpoint Park Cherry Blossoms

April 13/14 - white cherry blossoms

April 20 thru end of April - pink cherry blossoms

If want to stay in West Seattle, this spot is for you. Bonus: there's a view of the city skyline too. Since this location is in West Seattle you can schedule a mini-session any time I'm available, including weekdays.

Seward Park Cherry Blossoms with Mt. Rainier View

A weekday in mid to late April, 6:00-7:00pm

This is a magnificent view but one of the trickiest to get because we have to wait for a clear day during the tree's peak bloom which lasts about 2 weeks starting in mid to late April. This spot at Seward Park is also very popular and can be quite crowded on weekends making it nearly impossible to get the shot, so I'll only schedule sessions on a weekday at the ideal time for lighting, 6-7pm. If you're interested in this spot, please email me and I'll be in touch when the conditions are right to schedule. If there is only 1 session per day it will be $225 minimum, but if there are multiple back to back mini sessions in the same day the $175 package will be available.

Skagit Valley Tulips

April 20/21, 9am-10am

$225 per session, 15 min, 20 photos, $100 deposit required at time of booking

Time slots available: 9:00am, 9:15am, 9:30am, 9:45am

These mini's will be at Roozengard garden/farm in the Skagit Valley, earlier in the morning to avoid crowds and for better lighting.

Mommy and Me Floral Mini-Sessions at the Arboretum

May 5 or 12

Time slots available: 9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am

Every year around Mother's Day there is a wonderful display of azaleas that bloom at the Washington Park Arboretum and these mini-sessions are the perfect Mother's Day gift to yourself or your mom (other family members are welcomed too for the session!).
